NUSENSE-CHAPTER TEN
I keep finding a lot of sayings I used to use in reports and letters when I worked as a Constituent Affairs Officer for four different Utah Governors. Three of the Four didn't really like the way I wrote things, but none of them fired me and so they let me be me. I saved some and may have already used some in prior chapters, so that must mean it is double important for you! Many a year ago, I did a little graduate work at a Utah University. I now copy some examples of Communication Breakdowns, and regardless of how smart we think we are, many of us still don't realize we haven't explained the problem good enough. These are sentences from a Welfare office provided by the Graduate School of Library from the University of Pittsburgh. Snicker if you will, but these applications for support are real.
1. I am forwarding my marriage certificate and six children. I have seven, but one died which was baptized on a half sheet of paper.
2. I am writing the Welfare Department to say that my baby was born two years old. When do I get my money.
3. Mrs. Jones has not had any clothes for a year and has been regularly visited by the clergy for a year.
4. I can't get sick pay. I have six children. Can you tell my why?
5. I am glad to report that my husband, who has been missing is dead.
6. This is my eight child. What are you going to do about it?
7. Please find for certain if my husband is dead. The man I am now living with can't eat or do anything until he finds out for sure.
8. I am very much annoyed to find you have branded my son illiterate. This is a dirty lie as I was married a week before he was born.
9. In answer to your letter, I have given birth to a boy weighing ten pounds. I hope this is satisfactory.
10. I am forwarding my marriage corticate and 3 children, one of which is a mistake, as you can see.
11. My husband got his project cut off 2 weeks ago and I haven't had any relief since.
12. Unless I get my husbands money pretty soon, I will be forced to live an immortal life.
13. You have changed by little boy to a girl. Will this make any difference to my pay?
14, I have no children as my husband is a truck driver and works day and night.
15. In accordance with your instructions, I have given birth to twins in the enclosed envelope.
16. I want my money as quick as I can get it. I've been in bed with the Doctor for two weeks and he doesn't do me much good. If things don't improve, I will have to send for another Doctor. Will you pay for that?
And you all thought you had it bad?

Whose House is this and when was the photo taken and where?
We recently found this photo, but not sure who the people are. We found it with other photos that were taken from 1880 to 1890. We know it wasn't taken by Nephi Chapman or Fred Chapman Sr. or Jr. as they often put their stamp on it. Could it be a Jones, Harris or a Tolley. We have no idea. The paper read it was "The Times" but can't find a date on it, so your guess is as good as ours. Clean shirt but hands look like they have worked hard.

READ ALL ABOUT YOUR FRIENDS IN JUAB COUNTY-1988 STYLE
This edition of The Times News is from 1988, but part of it goes back in time to 1973 when some old basketball players play the young kids and gave them a whipping. The old guys must be in nursing homes but not including Kelly Painter, Pat Painter, Mike Jones, Lynn Hansen, Tracy Olsen, Steve Howarth, Kerry Gee, Clark Wood, Kent Park and Rex Bailey. And the updated 1988 Edition shows local grease monkey Jeff Sanders is still working for a guy at the Honda Shop, so we still have a local guy there. And we found that a Levan lady passed away, but they didn't list the cause of death, so not sure why this 102 year old passed away! And after last Saturday, I had my fill of branding and "banding" cattle with 81 year old Bob Garrett, but a photo of that cowboy shows he is a Trail Boss; Wrangler and did a lot of acting in western movies with the John Wayne dudes of Hollywood westerns including an ABC Sunday movie. Well, here is better reading than the death and destruction around the world if you watch the news or read major media.

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE THE DOWNFALL OF MAJOR MEDIA
In going through several boxes of old newspapers and magazines, it behooves me to site the possible reason why we saved so many local papers over the years. If one was to compare the tabloids of the British Isles from the 1960's to The Times News of that era, one may find a profound difference. Various kids in our family lived in various countries around the world; serving on LDS Missions; in the Armed Forces; humanitarian efforts or historical journeys, we only found papers that gave us hope in the local paper. Last weeks edition of The Times News told of the Corvid 19 Virus was now suspected in the Mule Deer of Utah. To us hunters, that is major news, but little is mentioned in the major media. And that local paper also warned about Utah pet owners collecting Racoons as pets. Little do newcomers recognize they are a horrendous rabid carrier and one of the great demise of the Pheasants of the area. This kind of Utah news used to be found in the Deseret News, but not much about fishing or hunting there since Hack Miller went away and neither do they talk of those things in the Tabloids such as our local sports. If you want the real news of the world and local events, purchase the local paper and forget about the tabloids. For some reason, people like to read and listen to the news that is not real, but full of violence, wars and rumors of wars! Talk to Veterans or people that have been throughout the world. They have more truth knowledge of real events. But that is just a personal opinion. Choose ye which is more truthful. One can even talk to one of the classmates of the Juab Class of 65.

WE HAVE LOCATED INFORMATION ON THE TOLLEY FAMILY FROM A 3-23-23 BLOG
As some of the Tolley family is aware, we advertised help in finding information about a letter end to my grandmother-nearly a century ago. it listed a variety of family members that I couldn't see the names. We found an out of state Tolley member who knew who the individuals were, so we ae shipping them today. She, like many others follow the History Blogs, but not FACEBOOK, and wanted to be know as only "The Tolley Twig" so we will respect that. The informative letter showed the sender to be Mary Rebecca Orr, who was married to Jesse Picton Tolley. Jesse is the son of Samuel Tolley and Sarah Jane Picton. Samuel is the son of Wm Fisher Tolley and Sarah Warren Tolley, the beginners of the Utah Tolley Family in Nephi during the 1850's. Elizabeth Tolley Jones(wife of William Jones) who received the letter from Canada, is a sister to Samuel, and so is Jesss' Aunt(Mrs. J. P. Aunt in law). Now if you understand all of that, then you are far ahead of me, as I have thousands like that, and it takes me all day just to do one peice of information. I will send the letter infomation to the Tolley Twig, once I have gone through my stack of papers and peerhspa she can do something valuable with it. Additionally, I will try to attach what I put on the first blog here. Over and out. Another "Tolley Twig" who is the dense one, but still have the wit of Uncle Hy Tolley.
