These four Nephi Jones boys were told by their neighbor's who were great people of the Nephi Sperry clan consisting of Don Sperry; Bobe Sperry; and sisters of Rheta Sperry; Mable Sperry and Aleane Sperry Pace. After Aleane divorced she went back to being a grade school teacher. One of them asked us to be more quiet when (as boys are) they told us that their brother-Bobe was in the process of dying. We were all shocked as we didn't know much about death, as we thought that only happened to the chickens we helped cut their heads off, then cleaned them in boiling hot water in fifty gallon tanks, then pulled the feathers off as well as correctly gutting them. We always kept the gizzards, but that wasn't my cup of tea, or the neck. I couldn't "swallow" those! We let Gary be our Supervisor as he was good at that and the daughter of Uncle Hy Tolley(Ruth) would pick up Gary, and both would do the same sort of thing at the Moroni Turkey yard, but the the local folks were "let go" when the illegal's were invited in as were their Anchor babies, and put a lot of the local people out of work.We would then clean out the barrels and stand on the top and step behind us and see who the winner was. Anyhow our Dad came home and told us he had been watching a large bird flying by and landed on the top of the Juab County Hospital. Dad was like Uncle Hy, so we thought he was serious, but Weston smirked, so we thought something fishy about it all, as babies are supposed to be brought in by way of Storks. Before long, Alma Coyn Jones fessed up and asked if we all wanted to go up and through the window, we could view our new sister. How could that be, as what in the world would we do with a sister, as a girl couldn't ride a horse or haul hay and worst of all, couldn't shoot a gun. Well it wasn't long she wasn't going to take a lot Bull from the older boys, and she didn't want a girl doll nor anything like that. She wanted to play Cowboys and Indians with us, and she did, and when she got a horse, it was the greatest gift ever and figured out how to go around the barrels, and that horse knew how to do it. I told her she just needed to hang on, and by golly, she placed in the rodeo in Lemington, and she bought her own saddle by cleaning house for Doc P.L. Jones. She was then accepted by her brat brothers, and she now is the caretakers for us old dudes and likes helping anybody she can. Now we know her better, and she was a great help to her kids, grandkids and those that needed help, she is spot on. Your big brothers love you.
