Bakers Needed

BAKERS NEEDED

As a kid in grade school, when my mother had not yet went back to full time work, she had one day of the week that was her bread baking day. It was about a half mile from Central School in Nephi to our home on the north end. At 3:30 PM, when school was out, I turned in to being Jessie Owens, as I could outrun anybody, and I sprinted for home. I was not supposed to be taking the short cut  through the Sidwell's backyard, as Mr. Sidwell had planted grain and my trotting on it could be his financial ruin, but I figured if I ran real fast, my feet was hardly touching the ground so his grain was undisturbed. I had to get home, as that fresh baked bread was just what a young kid needed to get through the stress of the fifth grade. Now I can't guarantee that the attached receipt is my mothers, or that it will give you the same fulfillment I received with my mothers bread in the 1950's but hopefully some of you will give it a try. I don't recognize the writing and suspect that it is fifty years old or more and may have been given to her by others. Good Luck.
