You know you're from Juab County....if you or your family recognize these photo's from bygone days. The building was located near the present location of Juab Title on present day Main Street in Nephi. When Nephi was known as Salt Creek, this was built as the stagecoach station, and called the Goldsbrough Hotel. It was later known as the Nephi House, then the Starr Hotel, and later served as the family home for the Starr Family. Albert Starr married and lived next door, with his brother, who we called "Shine" lived in the mansion for many years, and was often seen walking about town. The second photo is of Albert, who worked for many years as the Clerk/Treasurer for the Juab School District. He was born at Starr Ranch, which was also a small community of north Juab County.
